Garnering 35.21% or 651,696, the voting public hailed the 23 year old independent woman of Sultan Kudarat, Laarni Losala or would be then Laarni Lozada as the Pinoy Dream academy season 2 grand star dreamer.
Tagged as the most emotional and misunderstood scholar, having an attitude problem, Laarni showcased not only her talent but her true self right after the very eyes of the voting public. This 23 year old independent woman had been through a lot of criticisms not only from her co-scholars, as well as from the mentors. However, these factors made her strong and keep on fighting for what she believes, and for what she dreams.

Bugoy Bugayon a.ka Bugoy Drilon, meanwhile made a very good fight, contesting Laarni who earned 29.07 % or 549,760 votes. This farmer’s son had improved a lot as well during his 13 weeks of stay in the academy.

I was surprised a bit, however, i know from the very start that Miguel Mendoza would probably be a dark horse on this competition, made to penetrate the top 3 of having 13.69 % or 253,412 a close fight with the Ryan C’s bet Liezel Garcia who had 13.3% or 247,346 votes. rounding off the top 5 and 6 were Van Roxas who earned 6.06 % 0r 112 065 and Cris Pastor collecting 1.97% or 36,487.

I THOUGHT THE PERFORMANCE LAST SEPTEMBER 13, 2008 WAS THEIR FINAL EXAM??? THE JUDGES EVEN TOLD LAARNI LOSALA THAT SHE MADE A HUGE MISTAKE SINGING HER FIRST SONG,… THAT SHE ONLY PROJECTED WELL MAKING IT UNNOTICED…
AND AS FOR BUGOY BOGAYAN PERFORMANCE
THE JUDGES WERE EVEN AWED AND WAS IMPRESSED BY HIS EXCELLENT, ENTHUSIASTIC, ENERGETIC PERFORMANCE..
WHAT HAPPENED WAS SO DISSAPOINTING SINCE THEY ONLY CREDITED THE TEXTS VOTES AS THEIR BASIS TO WHOM THE GRAND STAR DREAMER WILL BE… SO SAD…..

i even boycotted the abs-cbn because of what happened…. people will then realize that the idea of PDA in order to win is to gain popularity and texts votes.. that maybe if im not a good singer as long as i have lots of supporters i am capable of winning…. LOL what a disgust…

first and for all, this was the concept of the PDA, the winner will be chosen thru online voting & SMS, and sad to say this has a lot disadvantages. However, I think Laarni deserved to have the title..the last gala night was not the only basis why people had chosen her as the grand star dreamer. The people saw a lot of potentials in her. she can sing different genres which other cannot, i think you are not dumb enough not to notice that. m i right?
Plus the fact that she was given more difficult tasks compared to others by the mentors made her so much appealing to the public…now i think she doe not have any huge amount of money to buy those text votes…? She has a lot of fans around the world that was why she was hailed the GSD. now, if bugoy deserves to be one, why not he was not able to surpass the 651,696 votes?
most of the mentors, don’t want her to win, that was why even though she almost exhausted all the best she could, still the mentors can only see the flaws in her..what a dumb mentors. mediocre!!!
but then those negative feedback the people heard from Ryan Cayabyab was nothing at all..because the people don’t believe in him..because he was not able to project an image of a good head master…jimparedes should be and must be back on the 3rd season
i’ve been expecting that liezel will be the PDA2 Grand Star Dreamer, she’s an amazing singer! Bugoy, sobrang galing mo! But i guess Laarni deserves to win cu’z she has more confidence in singing. Congrats to you Laarni! Be thankful for all the achievements, always put your feet down! No bad attitudes na ha… Be good!!!

LAARNI LOSALA is just but an ordinary, random singer… you can find a voice like her everywhere,… and to top that she is not very good and well coordinated with her voice as well as her movements… watch the youtube!!! guys!! have you been watching her on PINOY DREAM ACADEMY and during her gala night performances??? what do you mean supporters??? they have been celeb guests at the UMAGANG KAY GANDA… and all she recieve was a clap unlike BUGOY… a lot of people cheered for bugoy and to top that maybe it was LAARNI’s chosen charity that made her a PINOY GRAND STAR DREAMER… READ THE COMMENTS… with a behavior like LAARNI… she cant reason her behavior being as a war-freak when being confronted with mistakes due to her past… its not professional… its a doggy dog world out there… if she wants to survive in the music industry .. and as to BUGOY… we believe in him… andno matter how you criticize him… he earned to be on top… i think the music industry is threatened by BUGOY’s natural talent,… GO GO GO BUGOY!!!!

Laarni won because of universal support for her talent, her industry and diligence, her never say die attitude and her trust in God.
1. Her voice is angelic. She is not just a ‘biritera’.
2. She takes note of what the mentors say, reviews and study them in between household chores.
3. Despite multiple pobationary status and apparent lack of support from scholars and mentors, she ‘fought hard’ till the end.
4. Instead of losing hope, she prayed hard and left her fate with God.
A scene I would never forget was when she felt almost down and out,her head down, praying on her bent knees in their improvised center of prayer in the house.
Prayer is indeed the weapon of the weak.
Laarni Losala is so deserving to be the Pinoy Dream Academy 2 Grand Star Dreamer, she is, according to the mentors the most gifted vocally among all the other scholars. Her talent is exceptional, a superior world-class belter that can handle Sarah, Regine, Lani, Charice, Rachelle and Sheryn. A powerful stage performer, a voice that can shift to world-class super classical soprano, she can sing gospel, she can sing jazz, she can sing R&B, she can sing rock, she can sing love songs, she can sing super power ballads, she is world-class! Versatility at it’s best!!!!!!!
Laarni is super hard-working, the most focused in the group,
she takes all the comments constructively. She was shy at first but became assertive.
She fought her way to the top! With a voice like an angel, Laarni deserves this so much!
She is also very beautiful, humble…..she does not back stab people, she sings with her heart and soul
She has faced so much adversities in life but she sings first and foremost to bring glory to GOD!
She has lived her life in service of GOD Singing for HIM and glorifying HIM through her voice!
Laarni keep your feet on the ground! Always be strong, always remain focused, keep on focusing on how you can further improve and grow!

Yeah, yeah! It’s all over now… but you see all the tv guestings you can tell and it was proven that Boggie is not doing very good on his singing quality he does consistently doing a ‘pyok’ when singing… so embarrassing… Boogie payo lang nang isang kaibigan -you need more training before going to public eyes -you are embarrasing yourself. Quit now before it’s too late!
On the other hand… I love you Laarni -you are the BEST. No ere, very humble, and most of all beautiful as ever. Her singing is just keep getting better and better.We can’t wait to have that album… Hurry up..bilis na kasi.
