Pinoy Dream Academy VS. Pinoy Idol

the 2nd season of the Pinoy Dream Academy is slated to end this Sept 14. however, prior to that date, there will be a 1st grand dream night scheduled sept 13 which means for the first time, the PDA will conduct 2 days of grand dream nights that would determine who among the top six be the 2nd grand star dreamer. The 3 great contenders for the top 3 positions are: Laarni, Liezl, and Bugoy. But Miguel could be a dark horse on this competition including Cris. As of the moment, the sixth slot is being contested by van and sen, the rumored scholars who have special feelings with each other.

the Pinoy idol had just ended. Out of the more or else 200,000 Pinoy idol hopefuls, only one made it all the way to the top. Gretchen Espina of Leyte outshoned her contender Jayann Bautista during the final night. however,Gretchen’s victory was accompanied by so much criticisms. Her win was probably caused by her family’s clout and was allegedly evident when cheers for her runner-up Jayann Bautista was louder during the announcement of Pinoy Idol winner [as stated in the wikipedia.org site]. Espina was also included in the local version of “Vote for the Worst“, which campaigns for “the worst contestant” to win Pinoy Idol. In an interview right after the Finale, she stated that a bulk of her supporters are based in Eastern Visayas region, adding that she would not have lasted in the competition if the viewers were not impressed with her performance.
